What is Psychedelic Integration Therapy?

Depicted above is ‘Simurgh’ [translates: thirty birds], adopted from the literary masterpiece “The Conference of Birds” ~ Written by Attar c. 1177 CE.

The book is a Sufi allegory that tells the story of a group of birds who set out on a quest to find their king, the Simurgh, and in the process discover the true nature of their own existence. Through this allegorical tale, Attar explores the themes of spiritual awakening, self-discovery, and the unity of all creation. As such, smaller birds represent the many parts or sub-personalities within our psyche. The giant bird is our Self, a state of inner harmony that is the result of the integration of all of our parts.

Psychedelic integration therapy is a type of therapy that aims to help individuals process and integrate the insights and experiences they have during psychedelic experiences. Psychedelic integration therapy is typically provided after an individual has participated in a psychedelic experience, such as taking psilocybin, LSD, or ayahuasca, in a clinical or therapeutic setting.

The goal of psychedelic integration therapy is to help individuals make sense of their psychedelic experiences, gain new insights into their lives, and make positive changes in their behavior and relationships. Psychedelic integration therapy can be particularly helpful for individuals who have experienced challenging or difficult experiences during a psychedelic journey, or for those who have difficulty integrating their experiences into their daily life.

It is worth noting that psychedelic integration therapy is not a substitute for the clinical or therapeutic use of psychedelics. Rather, it is a complementary therapy that can help individuals derive greater benefit from their psychedelic experiences and support their ongoing personal growth and healing.

A summary of my training journey as a psychedelic psychotherapist

I have completed training for MDMA Assisted Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy from the infamous training institute MAPS. Later, this journey brought me to

In Mexico, I continue to study the indigenous practices of the Mazatec tradition where entheogenic plants, have been used for centuries for spiritual and medicinal purposes.

Mexican School of Psychosynthesis: In Mexico City, I have received consultation from the lasting pioneers of this system of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.

Please note, due to the pending status of the legalization of psychedelic medicines, I do not provide facilitation of psychedelic journeys in the State of California where I am licensed to practice. I hope this changes soon! What I do provide is Integration therapy which involves preparation and post-journey integration sessions to help maximize the benefits of your psychedelic journey.

However, the experience of taking psychedelics can be intense and overwhelming, and without proper guidance and support, it can be difficult to make sense of the experience and integrate its lessons into daily life. This is where my psychedelic integration therapy approach comes in.

I believe that psychedelic integration therapy can be a powerful tool for personal growth and transformation. If you're curious about how psychedelic integration therapy can help you on your journey towards greater self-awareness and healing, I invite you to schedule a consultation with me. I look forward to working with you.
